Pamar tackles the theme of the classic, proposing an original, new and cultured interpretation.
The result is Pamar Gem, a collection of handles and knobs, precious and refined like jewels, born from the mind and the hand of two authentic masters, interpreters of contemporary goldsmith art.
Alba Polenghi Lisca enhances the language of form by composing and contrasting finished and independent elements, also playing with the two-tone effect.
Pamar's production ability is once again put to the test in making a collection that expresses clear and marked elements of craftsmanship into a series. Metals are forged like the most precious: zamak is shaped, embossed, made irregular and rough on the surface. Enamels are applied like on jewels, in refined colors of unusual brilliance. New finishes are adopted that add value and originality to the collection, from white silver to shaded pewter.
Pamar Gem was presented during the 2011 Fuori Salone in the spaces of Palazzo Crivelli, in Brera, the usual, evocative place of representation of the Pamar collections.

The author
ALBA POLENGHI LISCA
Born in Milan, she attended the Brera Academy with Achille Funi and Mauro Reggiani; she studied ceramics with Roland Hetner and later applied herself to the study of engraving. She took part in collective and personal exhibitions as a painter. In 1983 she carried out three-dimensional research, using metal. The formation of a pictorial nature remains evident on the jewel. The dry study of volumes, the composition of simple elements and of everything that contemplates the curved line, transmits to the jewel, a volume capable of reflecting light in a range of many intensities. This study makes the shapes of the objects severe and measured and gives the jewel extreme rigor.
