A complex project recovering the purest Chinese tradition of porcelain manufacturing, giving it a contemporary twist, through a variety of handles that bear the signature of eight international designers. Pierre Charpin, Bjorn Dahlstron, Rodolfo Dordoni, Natalie Du Pasquier, Gordon Guillaumier, James Irvine, Jasper Morrison and George Sowden, each adopting their own formal language, design one hundred and forty pieces, collected in sixteen product families, each unique in character.
The collection brings porcelain back as a material for furniture handles, as was the tradition in the past.
George Sowden's handles are dominated by graphic motifs that give three-dimensionality to the geometric design of each piece. Jasper Morrison's knobs, absolutely rational and rigorous; Gordon Guillaumier's rings, flattened and elongated; and finally James Irvine's lines, miniature cylinders overlapping or hollowed out.
