Interzum Award

Pamar wins the “INTERZUM AWARD: intelligent material & design” 2011 for the porcelain furniture handles Loop (design Gordon Guillaumier), Rod (design James Irvine) and Rock (design Jasper Morrison) from the Pamar Porcelain collection.
Established by Koelnmesse, on the occasion of Interzum, an important fair in the furniture components sector, the prestigious award is assigned by an international jury composed of designers, architects and experts in the sector, and rewards companies whose products stand out for their high level of innovation, original design, functional perfection and use of cutting-edge materials.
The challenge taken up by Pamar, in creating Loop, Rod and Rock, was to recover the purest Chinese tradition of porcelain processing, to give it a contemporary interpretation; to overcome design difficulties and push the material ever further, giving life to new forms in which function and aesthetics blend in harmonious balance.
Handles, in which design and material are the protagonists, become poetic and distinctive signs on the furniture, without neglecting to fulfill the function for which they are created.
A concrete demonstration of how Pamar does not limit itself to producing only but continues to experiment by applying a vision without borders
«Superare le difficoltà progettuali e spingere la materia sempre più avanti, dando vita a forme inedite in cui funzione ed estetica si fondono in armonico equilibrio»
