Giorgio Vigna
Giorgio Vigna nasce a Verona nel 1955 e si forma artisticamente tra la sua città natale, Venezia, Roma e Milano.
È un artista che, al confine tra realtà e immaginazione, crea forme naturali capaci di manifestare aspetti primari e primordiali. Avventure di terra e acqua, fuoco e vento dove si coniuga naturale e artificiale, povero e prezioso.
Vigna si muove sul confine tra il reale e l'immaginario, tra ciò che è e ciò che appare.
Le sue opere, dalle sculture ai gioielli, su carta o le installazioni site specific, riflettono l'ampiezza e la profondità della sua costante ricerca. Utilizzando vari materiali come il vetro, i metalli e la carta, sperimenta in modalità sempre nuove e sorprendenti. Vigna le esplora e le cerca per rivelare possibilità nascoste. Le forme sono l'espressione primaria degli elementi con cui lavora. Forte e naturale, universale e senza tempo, carico di significati simbolici.
Nel 2013 il Museo di Castelvecchio di Verona ha ospitato la mostra Stati Naturali, per la quale Giorgio Vigna ha realizzato per la fontana di Carlo Scarpa l'installazione permanente in vetro Acquaria. Nel 2017 ha realizzato per la Galleria dell'Accademia di Venezia l'opera Fuochi di Rugiada, collocata nella sala in segno di benvenuto ai visitatori, realizzata dalla Vetreria VENINI.
Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in gallerie e musei in Argentina, Austria, Cina, Corea, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Gran Bretagna, Grecia, Hong Kong, Italia, Paesi Bassi, Principato di Monaco, Russia, Stati Uniti, Svizzera.

In 2013 the Museum of Castelvecchio in Verona hosted the exhibition Stati Naturali, for which Giorgio Vigna has created for the fountain of Carlo Scarpa the permanent installation in glass Acquaria. In 2017 he has created for the Galleria dell’Accademia in Venice the work Fuochi di Rugiada, placed in the hall as a sign of welcome to visitors, made by Vetreria VENINI.
